It’s incredibly important to us that your data be secure and protected when you trust us with it. That’s why we’ve partnered with world-class data protection services, like Amazon’s AWS and payment partners such as Stripe, Till, and others. These companies set the industry standard for data safety and protection so you can trust that your information will always be safe with us.
Personal information is required for operating and monitoring EVSEs (EV charging stations) commissioned to the Noodoe cloud. Noodoe collects the account owner’s name, E-mail, and physical address. Additionally, in order to charge for charging services when applicable, we may request credit card information. However, Noodoe only ever receives a token representing part of the number and NEVER stores credit card information. The credit card information is securely transferred to a third-party, PCI-compliant payment platform built by Partners, such as Stripe, Till, Payter, Heartland, and Worldpay.
Noodoe EV OS hosts its services on AWS, whose architecture is designed to protect information, identities, applications, and devices. With AWS, Noodoe EV OS can confidently meet core security and compliance requirements, such as data locality, protection, and confidentiality with a comprehensive suite of services and features. The following is a partial list of assurance programs with which AWS complies:
SOC 1/ISAE 3402, SOC 2, SOC 3
FISMA, DIACAP, and FedRAMP
PCI DSS Level 1
ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018

Noodoe works together with certified third parties to store and process data. These third parties possess all certifications required to keep the data secured (PCI-DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, FedRAMP, GDPR, FIPS 140-2, and NIST 800-171).
PCI DSS – The Payment Card Industry (PCI) – is the organisation that sets the global security standard for companies that handle your highly sensitive payment information. Their standard is called DSS (Data Security Standard) and is applicable to any organisation that accepts or processes payment cards.
Noodoe uses PCI-compliant payment gateways such as Stripe and Till Payment. These gateways are audited by PCI Qualified Security Assessor periodically to meet industry requirements. PCI compliance is a shared responsibility and applies to both the payment gateway and Noodoe. To make sure your data is safe, Noodoe ensures the following:
Noodoe EV OS creates a copy of data to protect against accidental or malicious deletion, corruption, hardware failure, ransomware attacks, and any other type of data loss. Our data backups are performed in AWS S3 periodically. All of our data is stored and maintained within the United States and does not cross its borders. Our data center is located in Oregon with a data backup location in Northern California (secondary location). Data recovery is performed in the event of a data loss. Noodoe EV OS’s recovery mechanism secures data systems, allowing the data to be recovered when needed.
